Thanks to everyone who made the #EndTheStigma toy drive a huge success

On December 7, 2019, between 10 AM and 2 PM, Golden Isles Olive Oil and its excellent staff played host to the 3rd Annual #ENDTHESTIGMA Toy Drive. Sponsoring local companies included Vixen Creative Marketing, LLC for event promotion as well as photographer, and Studio Pixel Pop. The toy drive benefited the Pediatric Ward at Southeast Georgia Health System, SGHS.

Other companies that assisted in helping make this event a success for the third year in a row were those that had drop boxes. The toy drop locations were provided by GIOO, McGinty Gordon, Toy Box Cars, Southern Hanger, and Hey Girl Closet. iHeartRadio 103Q provided Christmas music by Jeff Doke, “JW”. We are grateful for their support.

The Grinch tried to steal Christmas at the event. Alas, it was thanks to members of the Glynn County Police Department, Officers Williams, and Sanchez, among others, who were our escorts and kept The Grinch in line. Santa was even there to hear Christmas wish lists and take photos.

George McManus played Santa. Rob Styn played The Grinch who’s getaway to take the toys to the SGHS was a 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner convertible provided by Toy Box Cars. In total, over 200 toys were collected and delivered to the hospital. A check for $4,000 from Milton J. Wood Company, presented by Scott Bennor which Canas, gave to the AJ Donohue Foundation to help renovate the pediatric playroom at SGHS.

Over the last three years, over 700 toys were collected and donated plus $10,000 from the Milton J. Wood Company.
