I forgot to fast for blood work !!!!!

Doc called in a panic afterhours to tell me the numbers for glucose were high and to test as soon as possible. Thankfully the Marine has a test kit and he was way to excited to stab me with that spring loaded pin. The number was fine. I Then remembered that the morning of the appointment I ordered a big breakfast very high calorie and that was a no no. I didn’t think an appointment at 3pm still meant be fasting. I now have to make sure I get the first in the morning appointment so I don’t mess up again. Please tell me I’m not the only person to do this.
